Another major Apple announcement in today`s “Let`s talk iPhone” event is the new iPod Touch. As you know iPods are basically iPhones without the phone functionality like making calls and sending SMS.
The new iPod will be available in white like the iPhone giving users more styles to suit every customer`s taste.
It was highly expected that the new iPod Touch will bring the 3G functionality as one of its upgraded features, but that didn’t turn out to be the case. The iPod Touch `s and iPhone`s identical hardware specs and very close hardware design and features has raised the hopes for a new iPod Touch with a phone functionality to help them get around the whole tying up idea of having a contract with a major phone carrier.3G connectivity would have made life easier for those who don`t have access to WI-FI hotspots, but apparently, this was not a top-of the-chart priority for Apple.
The new iPod Touch will be available on October 12th in 8GB priced at $199 and a 32GB at a price of $399.
